That's the truth I thought that was a great movie needed part 2
I liked the one with Michael York and Bert Lancaster
I am reminded of the movie The Man Who Would Be King…. everything started off with great promise and ended in a world of Tears
This movie disturbed me as a child lol
How many fade to blacks do you gotta add lol
I forgot trailers use to have voice overs and I jumped a bit lol.😳
Wish they would remake it with all the great technology we have today. That would be so awesome❗

Was brought back to years I cherish.
Starring Professor Lupin before he was Professor Lupin, David Thewlis. Nice to see that he had a career before Harry Potter.
EDIT: Weirdo dwarf looks even weirder than I thought.
wow. This reminds me of WHO and NIH and NHS
I. Liked the original witrh Burt Lancaster and Michael York.
If you're interested in this movie and/or the actors and directors, etc. you should watch the documentary "Lost Souls: The Doomed Journey of Richard Stanley's Island of Dr. Moreau". It's crazy how f'd up the making of this movie actually was.May look at Brando and Kilmer differently, that's for sure.
I watched this movie not too long ago, knowing the backstory behind it and having seen Island of Lost Souls at least five times. To me, it was working fine… until the title character finally shows up. I was put off by its shift from Darwin allegory to slasher film.
I thought Marlon Brando seemed detached (I'm guessing that his daughter's then-recent suicide didn't help matters). I don't think that either Val Kilmer or David Thewlis were up to their roles. I think John Frankenheimer was the wrong choice to take over the director's chair.
I do, however, give props to Stan Winston's makeup work (though some of the CGI looks like a mockbuster of Island of Lost Souls) and some of the performances of the actors in them (except for that Mimi-Me prototype).
All things considered, I just think this could and should have been so much better.
It is exactly like now in 2020 where the psychopaths are arranging microchip via vaccines to human bodies with excuse of a fictitious virus .
I'm not paying $5 to rent of $15 to purchase. I see Warner Bros is getting desperate.
I saw this movie when I was a kid and till this day it's one of the greatest films out there known to humans
Love this one!! Glad to see it on YT!!
What? Dude this movie was called the island of Dr. MONreau”
What happened to the N in “Moreau”? It doesn’t even flow as nice. Wtf?
Great movie!
👍👍
First R rated movie I watched as a kid and I still love it even now.
