  1. Suez Canal is very dangerous to VL sized ships becausrle her draft is only good for Suez size vessels. Suez Canal size vessels are measured by its grt proportionate to its length. Tankers of Suez size are constructed less than 180 mtrs and a draft of not more than 15 mtrs., or a grt of not more than 80k tons.
    But the port authorities in Suez Canal must be attracted by the handsome fees from these VLCCs (very large container carriers)!!!
