Mary Ann was always my favorite. A lot sexier and more gorgeous that Ginger. I know we all must leave tihs world some day, but when someone you like suddenly goes, it really hurts even though you didn't personally knew them. RIP sweet Mary Ann, aka (Dawn Wells).

I was born in 1952. I grew up in Minnesota and worked on many farms from 1960 to 1967. Minnesota farm country had many Mary Ann's. Most of them were simple, in terms of wants and needs, innocence, fun to hang out with. Their dads had to have a very high opinion of you for you to even get close to their daughter. It was a good time to be youngster growing up. I wouldn't miss a single episode of Gilligan's Island. Like most teens, I loved Mary Ann. Favorite Memory? Too many.

Mary Ann or Ginger? That used to be the question among friends when I was a young man. Mary Ann always won….and it was more than her beauty and cuteness but a "I'm in your corner" kind of gal personality that made her irresistible.

I grew up watching Gilligan's Island and still enjoy it today. We lost Russell Johnson a couple years ago and now Dawn Wells. How ironic she died of covid-19, given the fact that on Gilligan's Island with six other castaways they would have been plenty of room for social distancing. I guess that leaves Tina Louise (Ginger) as the only remaining cast members still alive. Though gone, her legacy will always live on and reruns the future generations will always enjoy.
