Could they of used a Drone.
They obviously have a drone on the island on the island from the numerous high elevation moving camera shots taken. But, that wouldn't have been that dramatic. That is like when a diver was sent down that shaft. Because of the debris in the water, nothing could be seen. It would have been easy to suck the dirty water up, filter it till it was clear, returning it to the shaft and add a bit more clean water for a positive hydrostatic pressure of clean water and send a camera down. It would have been cheaper, quicker and no diver would have been risked, but it wouldn't have been as dramatic.
