  5. That was comical. I knew that something was up when Freeland immediately opened by making a lot of "that's strange" faces while listening to the question.

  6. The answer I thought was aceptable. The gist is, " We honestly have not thought about sactions, and we have not been able to speak with the US representitives on this matter.

Mentioning sactions for the first time in a news broadcast would be just as bad as half assedly tweeting about it.
I order to have a healthy diplomatic relationship we can not blindside our partners with threats and ultimatums.

As such it is a very bad idea to directly answer this question here, before we can talk to the relevant parties. It'd be very disrespectfull and we don't want to sour our diplomacy in the 1st week.
Even then, while we would like to see the pipeline built there are plently of eccologically freindly alternitives we are willing to explore in further detail at a later time.

  7. Thank you for Vassy for asking some intelligent reasonable questions. Questioning The Minister of “Dodge the Answer” appears so frustrating.

  8. Biden still the man. Rather have someone to work with then try and bully us. We will survive. Many Canadians wanted the pipeline canceled too so let's see what the future holds

  10. This is shows that every single country thinks about their citizens and their interests, canada should start doing the same and as a start : release huwaei CFO . Its against canada’s interest , let Americans do their dirty job by themselves

  11. Somehow, judging from Biden's early moves, Canada is America's # 1 enemy. ( Biden wants to borrow almost $ 2 trillion from the country we all assumed was America's greatest enemy.)

  12. Stop lying and not answering questions. You work for the people we pay your salary therefore, we ask something you answer, period.

  13. It Canadian. For years the USA has spit and shat on Canadians. We have to protect our own stufff. Refine our own oil instead of always selling cheap to them and buying back expensive. Our pulp and trees are used fir Ppe that we send over and they stop essential materials to us!!! Be Canadian and take care of our own. Don’t buy American vehicles
